Construction Time-Lapse Documentation

Construction Time-Lapse Documentation for Commercial Projects

YouTube-ready compilation. From groundbreaking to certificate of occupancy. Solar-powered camera system installed in a single morning, weekly photo updates, private stakeholder portal, and a marketing-ready final video at the end.

Why Construction Time-Lapse

Three reasons construction time-lapse is the highest-value documentation you can put on a project.

Jobsite Security and Accountability

Dated, geo-tagged captures of what's happening on site. Defensible in disputes, lender draws, and insurance claims.

Stakeholder Communication

A private share link keeps owners, GCs, lenders, and investors informed with compelling visual updates at every project milestone.

Marketing Asset After Project

A board-ready highlight video you can drop into owner presentations, developer marketing, and community relations.

A 60-120 second board-ready highlight video and a 5-15 minute full project compilation, in 4K and ProRes formats.

How It Works

1

Site Walk and Install Plan

We visit the site, identify the optimal camera position for sun, line-of-sight, and storm exposure, and confirm the install date.

2

Install and Configure

Mount the camera housing, run the solar panel, and confirm cellular uplink. We leave with a working feed and your stakeholder portal live.

3

Capture Interval

Photos are captured on the schedule you choose. Each is GPS-stamped, time-stamped, and uploaded to your portal.

4

Deliver and De-Install

At project close, we deliver the final compilation video, milestone highlights, and the full archive. We de-install the camera system.

Capture Interval Options

Choose the interval that matches your project pace and your storage appetite.

Interval Best for Final video length
Daily Smoother final video, shorter projects 2-5 min full
Weekly Most commercial projects (recommended) 5-10 min full
Bi-weekly Long-duration projects, slow-moving work 8-12 min full
Custom Milestone-driven capture (foundation, top-out, etc.) Varies

Florida Weather Handling

Central Florida weather is non-trivial: afternoon thunderstorms in summer, hurricane season June-November, and intense UV that degrades cheap equipment. We design for it.

  • Hurricane-rated camera housings, tested to 130 mph winds
  • Pre-emptive lock-down protocol when forecast winds exceed 50 mph
  • UV-resistant solar panel and weatherproof cable runs
  • Post-storm remote verification of camera position and angle
  • Lightning surge protection on all electrical paths

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a typical time-lapse project run?

Most commercial projects run 6 to 24 months. We install the camera at groundbreaking and continue through certificate of occupancy. Short-term progress monitoring (1-3 months) is also available.

Does the camera need power or internet on site?

No. The system is solar-powered with cellular uplink. We install in a single morning, and you do not need to provide any infrastructure.

Who can see the time-lapse feed?

You control access. We give you a private share link for stakeholders, owners, and GCs. Public marketing pages are also available if you want the project visible to the community.

What do I get at the end of the project?

A board-ready highlight video (60-120 seconds), a full project time-lapse (5-15 minutes), and a still-image archive of every capture. Marketing-ready files for promotional use.

How is pricing structured?

Starting at $289/month for the camera system, hosting, and weekly photo updates. The final highlight video and full compilation are included in long-term contracts. Custom pricing for projects under 3 months.

What happens during Florida hurricanes and bad weather?

Our camera housings are rated for hurricane conditions. We monitor storm tracks and pre-emptively lock down the mount if winds exceed 50 mph. After the storm, we remote-verify camera position and resume capture.

Can I use the time-lapse for marketing after the project?

Yes. The final compilation is delivered in YouTube-ready 4K and ProRes formats, with usage rights included. Most clients use the highlight video for owner presentations, developer marketing, and community relations.

What is the difference between daily, weekly, and bi-weekly capture?

Daily capture produces a smoother final video but uses more storage and processing. Weekly capture is the most common for commercial projects. Bi-weekly or monthly is used for slower-moving jobs or longer projects where storage is a concern.

How accurate is the timestamp on each photo?

Each capture is GPS-stamped and time-stamped at the moment of capture. The metadata is preserved in the EXIF and embedded in the deliverable reports. This is what makes the documentation defensible in disputes and lender draws.

Do you coordinate with our other trades on site?

Yes. We coordinate with the GC and site superintendent on installation day and on any visit. Our installers are OSHA-10 certified, $1M insured, and trained to work in active construction environments.
